**Update: Now that I have returned to the United States, I will be blogging about various science/nature/bird-related topics. And hopefully about some more field work experiences, as I work my way to grad school in the near future!**
Welcome to my blog!
I hope you enjoy my writings about my adventures in the Southern Hemisphere.
I love to travel, and having never been to this part of the planet, I am especially excited to share my experiences with you – my dear family and friends. There will be so many new experiences for me – Antarctica will likely be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Following that amazing adventure, Australia will become my new home for 5 months.
I am looking forward to everything I will encounter – new people and new experiences, even the inevitable obstacles and complications – that will help me grow as an individual, scholar, scientist, explorer, and citizen of the world! And I will be blogging about it all here!
…For more info on what I will be doing while in Antarctica, please read my first entry here.
Larry Coats (the team’s mountaineer, geologist and first aid expert) has his site here.
Dr. Steve Emslie also has his Antarctic website.
